Hiram Brownell, Ph.D.
Dr. Brownell is a professor of Psychology at Boston College, and Adjunct Assistant Research Professor of Neurology (Neuropsychology) at Boston University School of Medicine and a Visiting Scientist at Brandeis University. He earned his B.A. from Stanford in 1974, MA in 1976, and Ph.D. in 1978, both from Johns Hopkins University. He is the principle investigator of the Metaphor Training Project and his research interests are in the cognitive neuroscience of language and communication with a focus on the contribution of the right hemisphere.
