Zambia

The Republic of Zambia is located in southern Africa, just east of Angola, and is home to approximately ten million people. The people of Zambia elect a president every five years by popular vote. The president-elect appoints a vice president and selects his cabinet from among the members of the National Assemby, Zambia's legislative body. President Levy Mwanawasa has served as chief of state and head of government since December 27, 2001.
