The
Republic of Zambia is located in southern Africa, just east
of Angola, and is home to approximately ten million people.
The people of Zambia elect a president every five years by
popular vote. The president-elect appoints a vice president
and selects his cabinet from among the members of the National

has served as chief of state and head of government since
December 27, 2001.
