Senegal

The Republic of Senegal is located in western Africa, bordering the Atlantic Ocean, and is home to approximately ten million people. The people of Senegal elect a president every five years by popular vote. The president-elect appoints a prime minister, and the prime minister appoints a Council of Ministers. President Abdoulaye Wade has served as chief of state since April 1, 2000.
