Nigeria

The Federal Republic of Nigeria is located in western Africa, east of Benin, and is home to approximately one hundred thirty million people. The people of Nigeria elect a president every four years by popular vote. The president-elect appoints a cabinet, the Federal Executive Council. President Olusegun Obasanjo has served as chief of state since May 29, 1999.
