Mozambique

The Republic of Mozambique is located in southern Africa between South Africa and Tanzania, and is home to approximately twenty million people. The people of Mozambique elect a president every five years by popular vote. The president-elect appoints a prime minister. President Joaquim Alberto Chissano has served as chief of state since November 6, 1986.
