Malawi

The Republic of Malawi is located in southern Africa, east of Zambia, and is home to approximately eleven million people. The people of Malawi elect a president every five years by popular vote. The president-elect appoints a cabinet. President Bakili Muluzi has served as chief of state and head of government since May 21, 1994.
