Dr. Kaye Brown’s role at BU is to help develop and build the biological anthropology program. To that task she brings over two decades of experience in the field, including her work as the co-editor of two major bioanthropology journals (the International Journal of Primatology and the American Journal of Physical Anthropology) and the co-developer and acquisition editor for two textbook series, Foundations in Human Biology and Advances in Human Biology. Each year, she develops and runs symposium focused on a timely, critical debate within biological anthropology, and she co-teaches the bioanthropology core graduate course. Dr. Brown’s research and publications range widely from biology into the social sciences, including the study of social movements, collective behavior, and architectural gerontology.
