Ehsan Moghaddasi’s area of interest is the post-revolutionary Iranian society with a focus on the anthropology of cyberspace and the anthropology of social movements. More specifically, his research centers on the emerging dynamics of virtual social networks and their impact on social change in general, and the contemporary Iranian society in particular. Ehsan’s research delves into the manner in which new media can transform connectedness amongst individuals into a sustained form of political mobilization, facilitating social change within a variety of settings. His area of study also includes innovative approaches to collecting and analyzing data in the field of new media study.
Ehsan received an MA in Literary Criticism (with honors) from the University of Tehran in 2008, as well as a B.S in Electronic Engineering from Tabriz University in 2004.
