B.A. 2004 Psychology, University of
California, Berkeley
As a Research Assistant for the STAART Child and Family Project,
I am primarily responsible for conducting cognitive, diagnostic,
and language assessments of children.
My undergraduate work at UC Berkeley included coursework
primarily in developmental psychology and phonetics. I worked
in a lab conducting research on language learning and grammatical
structures. In addition, I worked at an Early Intervention
program with young children diagnosed with Autism and Autism
Spectrum Disorders. This combination of experiences has influenced
my interest in child development and language learning, specifically
developmental disorders affecting language acquisition. In
the future, I plan to pursue graduate work in the field of
Speech-Language Pathology.
