Research Assistant

B.A. 2006 Psychology, Brown University

As a research assistant for the STAART Child and Family Project, my responsibilities include conducting a variety of cognitive, diagnostic, and language-based assessments with children.

During my undergraduate education, I was involved in research at a partial hospital program for young children with severe emotional and behavioral problems. At the hospital, I investigated treatment outcome and emotional and relationship functioning in these children. For my honors thesis, I studied how parental sensitivity related to child improvement during treatment in the partial hospital program, and focused specifically on parental warmth and control. In the future, I hope to attend graduate school in clinical psychology and continue to research child psychopathology.
