Research Assistant

B.S. 2003 Biopsychology and Cognitive Sciences, University of Michigan

I am a Research Assistant on the brain imaging projects, which use neuroimaging to investigate language and communication in autism. In this position, I help with the administration of standardized tests to research participants and evaluation of the test results. I also collaborate with other team members in the collection of neuroimaging data and help participants to become familiar with the experimental process through the use of “mock” MRI scanning sessions.

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree from the Boston University School of Public Health with concentrations in Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Epidemiology. Beyond graduate school, I hope to continue working in the neuroscience field in order to better understand the relationship between the brain and behavior. In particular, I am interested in the design of early interventions to minimize the negative impact of conditions such as autism on individuals and families.
