Graduate student

B.A. 2001 Biology and Psychology, Transylvania University

During my undergraduate career, I worked as a behavioral modification therapist with children with autism. This experience initiated my interest in the field of autism.

Currently, I am pursuing a combined MD/PhD at Boston University School of Medicine. I have completed one year of medical school and am now conducting my graduate work. I am a student in the Anatomy and Neurobiology Department of the Division of Graduate Medical Sciences located on the medical campus. At present, my research within the Lab of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience involves neuroimaging. Specifically, I will be looking at the relationship between repetitive behavior and structural brain abnormalities in children with autism spectrum disorder. After completing my PhD, I will return to medical school in order to complete the dual degree program.
