Family Coordinator

M.A., 1997, Mental Health Counseling, Boston College

I am the Family Coordinator for the STAART Child and Family Project. My responsibilities include recruiting families, screening potential participants, and administering clinical interviews and questionnaires to parents. As the primary contact for our families throughout their participation in the study, I also schedule visits, discuss evaluations, and provide resource information.

Before I joined the Lab, I collected data for an ongoing research project at the University of Ghent in Ghent, Belgium. In the metro Boston area, I have provided counseling services in community-based settings, and direct and consultative services to students with developmental disabilities in educational settings. My future research interests include studying how people with developmental disabilities process and interpret traumatic events.
