Research Project Manager

M.S. 1994 Communication Science and Disorders, Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions

As program project manager and a certified Speech and Language Pathologist, I oversee and participate in the assessment and written evaluations of the language and speech skills of the children and adolescents participating in our research project and meet regularly with families to discuss their children's progress. In addition, I'm involved in the design and administration of our experimental language measures, as well as the analysis of this important data and the preparation of research articles. My primary area of interest in research is spoken and written language acquisition in children with autism, and I am currently enrolled as a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Linguistics.

It is a pleasure to work with the children and their families together with the members of our interdisciplinary research team to further our understanding of children's processing abilities across the language domains of phonology, morphology and syntax, semantics and pragmatics.
