Autism Research Center of Excellence

The central purpose of our Center is to develop an integrated interdisciplinary program of research, which addresses the underlying causes, developmental course, and treatment of the social and affective deficits that define the syndrome of autism. We will also be collaborating on additional studies with other STAART Centers located around the country. See our Related Resources page for links to all the STAART centers currently conducting research.

We are currently recruiting invidividuals for a wide range of research programs. Whether typically developing or developmentaly diagnosed, all types of people can be part of our research.

We are a multi-site Center conducting research at the following institutions:

Boston University School of Medicine

Tufts/New England Medical Center

The Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin, Madison

Dartmouth Medical School

This Center also includes scientists from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, Harvard University, and Brandeis University. Through these collaborations, we are able to bring together scientists from a broad range of backgrounds to benefit from one another's knowledge and experience in order to break new ground in autism research.
