Financial Aid and Tuition
For entering students, financial aid comes in several forms. The most generous award is the Dean’s Fellowship, which provides full-time tuition and a stipend for the first year followed by a teaching fellowship for either two or three more years. We also offer one-year research fellowships with area museums, one-year teaching fellowships in affiliated departments (only available for those who enter with a Masters degree) and one-year graduate assistantships. Each of these packages also cover full-time tuition and pay a stipend.
The Admissions Committee awards financial aid during the application review, so we encourage you to make sure your application is complete by January 15. Please know that only a limited amount of financial aid exists each year, and that all entering students are not guaranteed to receive an offer of aid from the program.
