The panel of speakers will include:

Katie Brownell, Lecturer, History Department, Boston University. Katie recently received her Ph.D. in History from Boston University. Her current book project is Showbiz Politics  and her teaching and research focus on the relationship between media, politics, and popular culture in twentieth-century United States.

Aaron Lecklider, Assistant Professor, American Studies, University of Massachusetts Boston. Aaron recently received his Ph.D. in American & New England Studies from Boston University. His current book project is Love’s Next Meeting: Homosexuality and the Left in American Culture and his teaching interests are in gender and sexuality, twentieth-century U.S. history and culture, and radical art and fiction.

Katherine Stebbins McCaffrey, Lecturer, American Studies, Boston University. Katherine recently received her Ph.D. in American & New England Studies from Boston University. Her current book project is Reading Glasses: Consuming Spectacles in the Age of Franklin and her teaching and research interests include: Early American Literature and Art, History of the Book, Visual and Material Cultures, Science and Technology, Travel and Tourism, and Consumer Cultures.

Joseph Rezek, Assistant Professor, English Department, Boston University. Joe recently received his Ph.D. in English from the University of California Los Angeles. His current book project is The Aesthetics of Provinciality: Literary Expression and the Book Trade in Ireland, Scotland, and the United States, 1800-1850 and his teaching and research interests include: the history of the novel, theories of modernity and the Atlantic World, and the history of print in American culture.
