Background
Carol Rossi graduated from Curry College in 1980 with an A.S. and in 1982 with a B.S.N. She has received certification in home care and quality care. Ms. Rossi joined the Alzheimer's Disease Center team in March of 2006 with a vast clinical background which includes medical, surgical, trauma and catastrophic home care nursing. Most recently she has worked as a program manager in quality improvement and utilization management with a focus in compliance. She is currently pursuing a long standing desire to complete her masters' degree in public health with a concentration in health care. After completing her MPH, Ms. Rossi plans to become a geriatric nurse practitioner.
ADC Role
Carol is a co-coordinator in the Myriad clinical trial involving the investigational drug Flurizan (MPC-7869), a phase 3, randomized, double-blinded, placebo controlled study. She is the project manager for a new study examining the use of Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) as a treatment to slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease. As needed, she assists with the clinical aspects of all of the current studies.
Research Interests
Carol's research interests include all aspects of geriatrics including Alzheimer's disease.
