Background

Elizabeth is a former journalist with experience in health and human services research, training and program management. She received her Bachelor of Arts in communication from Flagler College in 2005, and she earned her Master of Social Work from Boston University in 2011. In Summer 2011, she served The AIDS Support Organization in Uganda as a Gender-Based Violence and HIV/AIDS intern, supported by the USAID Global Health Fellows Program. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health at BU and volunteering with the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. She joined the Education & Outreach team in October 2011.

ADC Role

Elizabeth manages and evaluates professional and community-based education programs for the ADC’s Education Core. She coordinates the PAIRS Program and a postdoctoral training program. She also oversees the ADC web site, newsletter and other communication tools, delivers lay audience presentations and organizes a continuing medical education course for physicians and allied health care staff.

Research Interests

Her Alzheimer’s-related research interests include mental health of patients and caregivers, long-term care best practices, end-of-life care and health equity.
