Background

Dr. Wells completed his undergraduate degree at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA . He earned a PhD in Biology from Brandeis University for his thesis: Analysis of DNA rearrangements in Tetrahymena thermophila. Dr. Wells has done post-doctoral research at Boston University School of Medicine and the ENRM VA Hospital. He is currently a Research Scientist at the ENRM VA Hospital located in Bedford, MA. He also has an appointment as a research instructor in the Department of Neurology at Boston University School of Medicine.

Research Interests

Dr. Wells’ research interests are focused on the utilization of cellular models to study Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. He is also involved in the role of genetics in Alzheimer’s disease.

ADC Role

Dr. Wells participates in activites related to the Molecular Genetics and Mouse Breeding Core.

Dr. Wells is a member of the Society for Neuroscience.
