The Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) is a $60 million, 5 year public-private partnership to test whether repeated imaging tests, biological markers and clinical assessments can be combined to measure the progression of mild cognitive impairment and early Alzheimer’s disease.
Who is eligible to participate?
Individuals age 55 to 90 with and without memory problems are eligible to participate in the study.
What happens at the visits?
Participants will come into Boston University Medical Center approximately every six months for 2-3 years where they will have MRI scans, their blood drawn, and clinical exams including memory testing. Participants will also have the opportunity to be involved in other imaging and biomarker tests such as PET scans and lumbar punctures.
