Overview of Services

This clinic provides comprehensive services for individuals and families affected by memory loss and related difficulties. The clinic physicians, Dr. Sanford Auerbach and Dr. Robert C. Green, are nationally recognized neurologists specializing in the field of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and related disorders. They are assisted by Margaret Brickley and Eric Steinberg, nurse practitioners who bring years of experience working with elders and their families to assess and manage care needs. Our assessment and treatment procedures are informed by the latest available knowledge and research in the field of AD. The clinic features expert care from academic medical center staff in a convenient South Shore location.

Services provided at this site include the following:

  • Comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis based upon neurological examination, memory assessment, and related diagnostic tests (e.g., brain imaging)
  • Treatment of cognitive and behavioral symptoms of dementia
  • Regular follow-up for care management including caregiver support, guidance, and education
  • Assistance with long-term care planning
  • Referrals to education and care resources in the area (e.g., adult day health programs)
