Overview of Services

The new Memory Disorders Clinic at Boston Medical Center provides assessment and evaluation for persons age 60 years or older who have concerns about memory loss. A multidisciplinary team, which includes a neurologist, geriatrician, social worker and expert geriatric nurse work together to provide guidance on diagnosis and care plan needs.

Assessment includes:

  • Comprehensive cognitive evaluation
  • Laboratory tests and imaging to determine causes for memory loss
  • Diagnosis and treatment recommendations
  • Social work assistance to help educate families and direct them to community and health care resources
  • Continued follow up care with the team to assess for changes in care needs and disease progression
  • Connect with the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Center!
