Scott Seider focuses his research on the civic development of adolescents and emerging adults. He also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Adolescent Research and as a contributing editor for the Journal of College & Character.
Seider is a former high school English teacher in the Westwood, Massachusetts and Boston Public Schools. His research has been published in scholarly journals such as the Journal of Higher Education and Youth & Society as well as practitioner journals such as Educational Leadership and Edutopia. He is also the author of Shelter: Where Harvard Meets the Homeless (Continuum, 2010).
