Diane Gallagher

Nursing History and University Archivist

Diane Gallagher is the Nursing History and University Archivist at the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University. After a career of excellence in human resources, Diane (a mother of four) joined the Peace Corps at age 53, and served in Cape Verde, West Africa for three years.

She is active as a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, and the recipient of many honors and awards, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from Colby Sawyer College in New Hampshire; the Lillian Carter Award, named in honor of President Jimmy Carter’s mother; and the President’s Call to Service Award, the highest volunteer award given for a lifetime of service.
