You did it!
You and 30,031 of your Boston University alumni peers won $1 million for BU through the Slatkin Challenge! You succeeded in surpassing Ed Slatkin’s (SMG’77) challenge of 28,000 alumni donors before the June 30 deadline—and because of you, BU is $1 million better off.
On behalf of all students, faculty, and staff, thank you!
The impact of your generosity will resonate loudly as BU heads into a new year. Your gift helped build new programs, scholarship opportunities, facilities, and much more. These advancements have helped our schools and colleges garner national attention while attracting the best students.
- The School of Social Work and the School of Management were both ranked in the top 20 in their fields nationally by different publications.
- All three of the graduate programs at Sargent College placed in the top 25 nationwide.
- The undergraduate admission rate dropped to 45.5 percent, the lowest percentage in BU’s history as a record-breaking 43,979 students applied for admission.
Together, those building blocks become the foundation of a superior Boston University—and a proud Boston University legacy.
A new year has begun. Alumni Weekend 2012 is just two months away, taking place on the weekend of September 21–23. This year’s campaign kick-off event will be the Celebration of BU! on Saturday night at the Agganis Arena featuring the Boston Pops as well as celebrity appearances. It’s guaranteed to be an extravaganza unlike anything seen before at BU and we hope to see you there.
Once again, thank you, for all your support this year.
