Established in the spring of 1996, the SAC is the student-organized, student-run branch of the Boston University Alumni Association. The deans, directors, and faculty advisors of each undergraduate school, college, and major student organization selected the founding members.

In the fall of 1996, the Boston University Alumni Board of Directors voted unanimously to give the SAC president a representative seat on the board -- the first time a student has held a board position. Over the past decade, the SAC has grown into an important student organization on the BU campus, bridging the gap between current students and alumni.

To build a sense of community, tradition, and alma mater at Boston University by promoting student to student and student to alumni relationships through social and professional events.
