Lasting Legacy, the Planned Giving newsletter, is published two times a year, usually in the fall and the spring. Topics in previous issues included what is estate planning, why people need a will, illustrations of how charitable gift annuities work, and strategies for optimizing tax savings. Each issue of Lasting Legacy also features a current Claflin Society donor discussing the motivation for his or her particular gift and a list of recent estate distributions and the programs which receive the support. Finally, we try to include photos of our Claflin Society members at the annual luncheon and at various University functions.
