Every Good Boy Deserves Favour

By Tom Stoppard
Music by André Previn
Directed by Jim Petosa
Musical Direction by William Lumpkin

Every Good Boy Deserves Favour is a rarely performed collaborative piece written by the unique artistic team of Tom Stoppard and André Previn. In a Soviet asylum in 1977, two men share a cell. While Ivanov is a genuine mental patient who believes he’s conducting the full orchestra that appears on stage, Alexander is a political prisoner who must admit his “mental illness” to regain his freedom.
This production was originally presented by the Boston University College of Fine Arts in 2006 as part of the Boston Gulag Project and it will next be featured as part of CFA’s InCite Arts Festival in Washington DC this fall.
Tickets: $12 general public, $10 BU alumni, students, senior citizens, Huntington subscribers, and WGBH members. BU community: One free ticket with BU ID at the door, day of performance, subject to availability. Box Office: www.BostonTheatreScene.com or 617.933.8600
