Red Sox- Mariners Game in Seattle
Join Boston University alumni, family, and friends in cheering on the World Series Champion Boston Red Sox as they take on the Mariners on July 21st.
The Boston University Alumni Club of Seattle will meet at 6pm at the Elysian Brewing Company (542 1st Ave South) until game time at 7pm. This is a great opportunity to meet up with other members of Terrier Nation and cheer on the Sox!

Alumni Night at Tanglewood
Join fellow Boston University alumni for our 32nd annual day of classical music in the Berkshires. In the morning, take a front-row seat in Tanglewood’s open-air amphitheatre and get a behind-the-scenes look at the Pops at work as they rehearse musical excerpts from classic movies, including Mr. Williams’s own scores, such as his latest collaboration with Steven Spielberg, for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull—or spread out a blanket and listen while relaxing on the lawn. After an all-American barbeque luncheon, enjoy the talented students of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Orchestra performing Gotterdammerung: Siegfried’s Rhine Journey (Richard Wagner), Gotterdammerung: Siegfried’s Death and Funeral Music (Richard Wagner) and The Rite of Spring (Igor Stravinsky) in beautiful Ozawa Hall. Bring your family and friends!

Transportation:
Meet us at Tanglewood—ample free parking is available—or ride with us round-trip from Boston in an air-conditioned motor coach. The motor coaches will leave from the Boston University College of Arts and Sciences parking lot (240 Bay State Road) at 7:15 a.m. A continental breakfast will be available in the lot for all passengers, starting at 6:30 a.m. Each motor coach will depart from Tanglewood at approximately 4:30 p.m., immediately following the BUTI concert. Returning guests, please note that the motor coaches will not be picking up or dropping off passengers in Worcester this year.

Old Westbury Gardens Picnic Pops: Harlem Renaissance Orchestra
Bring your family and friends and join the Boston University Alumni Club of Greater New York to enjoy a picnic dinner* followed by a musical evening under the stars. Arrive early to stroll the gardens and partake in pre-concert dance lessons followed by the authentic Big Band sound of The Harlem Renaissance Orchestra.
*Box dinner includes soft drink, whole fruit, pasta salad, a cookie and your choice of a turkey sandwich, roast beef sandwich, chicken caesar salad wrap or veggie wrap.

Special Pre-Release Screening of Pineapple Express
Boston University in Los Angeles cordially invites students, alumni, family, and friends to a special pre-release screening of Columbia Pictures' Pineapple Express (from guys who brought you Superbad ) at the Chinese Mann 6 in Hollywood on July 30. Thanks to SONY Pictures, this FREE event is open to the BU community in Los Angeles over a week before the film is released in theaters.

B.U.D.S. (Boston University Drinking Social)
Our last drinking social was such a huge success that we decided to do it again! The BU Bay Area Alumni Club invites you to reconnect with old friends; and make some new ones in this social event for all alums.
Join us on Thursday, July 31, 2008, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at The Cosmopolitan Bar & Café at 121 Spear Street in San Francisco (Between Mission and Howard). Network and enjoy cocktails with fellow alumni in a casual, fun atmosphere (actual Happy Hour will be 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM but we guarantee you will be happy beyond 7:00 PM as well). 5th Annual Cape Cod Clambake and Lobster Dinner
Join fellow BU alumni for live music and a traditional clambake dinner, which will include clam chowder, lobster, steamers, roasted red bliss potatoes, pasta salad, salad greens, rolls & butter and cookies & brownies (alternative entrée: grilled steak).

Power and Glory: Court Arts of China’s Ming Dynasty
The Boston University Bay Area Alumni Club & The Asian Art Museum celebrate Power and Glory: Court Arts of China’s Ming Dynasty.
Join us for wine and a light buffet in the major donor lounge, lectures and gallery viewing.
Direct from Shanghai, popular BU Assistant Professor of Chinese History, Eugenio Menegon, will discuss the intriguing introduction of Western art and science to the Ming court.
He will be joined by a distinguished curator from the Asian Art Musuem, who will highlight specific artworks and answer questions.
Rare items from the Asian Art Museum’s collection join priceless art from three of China’s most prestigious institutions – the Palace Museum in Beijing, the Nanjing Municipal Museum, and the Shanghai Museum- in this groundbreaking collaborative exhibition. Many of the stunning jades, porcelains, paintings, jewelry and textiles will be seen publicly for the first time.

Please join the BU Alumni Club of Greater Philadelphia and your fellow BU alumni for an exciting night at Kimmel Center Presents: The Boston Pops Esplenade Orchestra. Keith Lockhart will conduct "Make Mine Bernstein," with an ensemble cast featuring America's most talented rising stars as they sing selections from Leonard Bernstein's Broadway musicals "On the Town," "Wonderful Town," and "West Side Story."
