Dean Virginia Sapiro arrived at Boston University in 2007.
Her research and teaching interests include political psychology and political behavior, gender politics, American political development, democratic theory, and the design and philosophy of social science research; her most recent major projects have been on the history of political action in the United States and gender in television advertisements for congressional candidates.
In 2006, Tobe Berkovitz was appointed Dean ad interim of the College of Communication. He has been a professor at Boston University since 1988, and in 2003 he was named Associate Dean. He has worked on dozens of political campaigns as a media strategist and ad buyer; and, he is a noted media pundit who is quoted frequently on all things political as well as on media and technology.
