Are you interested in getting emails about Alumni events in your area, but don't know how? We recognize that the BU Alumni web can sometimes be difficult to navigate, and we're here to help! Following are some links that may help you on your way to finding out what exciting events are being planned in your area as they come up:

What's the difference between the ListServ and the Broadcast Emails? When sending a Broadcast Email, the database automatically selects only those email addresses in the geographical area to which the announcement applies (i.e. only people with addresses listed in the Greater Boston area will receive emails regarding events in Boston). These emails come directly from the University and are typically only about University-sponsored events or information.

Alternatively, any alum can contact the Alumni Relations office to send a message to the ListServ (e.g. about opening a new office and offering a deal to fellow alumni, etc.). These requests are filtered through Alumni Relations and every few weeks an email will go out to the ListServ with these announcements. Additionally, the ListServ is used to send updates and reminders about previously advertised events, as the Broadcast Email is only used once for each event. Furthermore, you can sign up for a ListServ in any area of the country, regardless of where you live currently (or what address you have listed in the AlumniLink).
