Liberty Gunter (ENG’02) of Dunbarton, N.H., was named the Outstanding New Hampshire Young Engineer for 2007 by IEEE, a professional association for the advancement of technology. Liberty joined BAE Systems in 2002, where she works in electrical engineering and semiconductors and volunteers as a mentor in the company’s Women in Technology program for high school students. She also works with the FIRST Robotics and FIRST Lego League programs, nonprofits that inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and to solve real-world problems by applying math, science, and technology.

Craig Heeren (CAS’03, GRS’03) of New York, N.Y., a third-year student at New York University School of Law, writes that his article “Together at the Table of Brotherhood: Voluntary Student Assignment Plans and the Supreme Court” was selected for publication in the spring 2008 volume of the Harvard BlackLetter Law Journal. Context is a network of art historians, archaeologists, and other scholars who give small-group walking seminars in several European cities. “This job has been a fantastic way to use my art history degree from BU and incorporate my love for Italy, which strongly developed during my participation in the BU Padua program,” Jessica writes.
