Melinda Lopez (GRS’00) of Bedford, Mass., writes that her play Gary was produced by the Boston Playwrights’ Theatre in March. Inspired by the Kenmore Square ’70s rock scene, the play chronicles the quiet anguish of three siblings in Gary, Ind., who express themselves through music. Melinda is also the author of Sonia Flew, which has been produced all over the country, and Scenes from a Bordello.
