Tim Durant (COM’90) of Wayland, Mass., published Know Regrets (Lulu, 2008), a novel based on his 20 years as a triathlete. He conceived of the plot while training for his first triathlons in Hawaii, where he was stationed in the U.S. Navy. Stacey (Steinglass) Kaye (COM’90) of Atlanta, Ga., released the first two books in her new series, ParentSmart/KidHappy: The Language of Positive Parenting, in June. Ready for the Day! and Ready for Bed! James Chalk (SAR’93) of Knoxville, Tenn., finished his fifth and final year as chief resident in the department of surgery at Michigan State University and has begun a two-year vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee. James was also invited to present “The Delineation of a Global Vascular Profile” at the Society for Vascular Medicine’s annual meeting in Minneapolis, Minn., last May.

David Coleman (CFA’93) of Wellesley, Mass., received the Thomas A. Dorsey Award in gospel music from the New England Conservatory. He is the director of the Tufts University Gospel Choir, which is 200 voices strong, and the director of choral music at the Dana Hall School, a secondary school for girls in Wellesley. His Dana Hall chamber chorus recently returned from a tour in Greece and has twice sung the national anthem at Fenway Park. David and his wife, Fadie (CAS’95), have a four-year-old daughter, Aimee. Susan Hennessey (MET’95) of Montpelier, Vt., a librarian and media specialist at Harwood Union High School in South Duxbury, Vt., was one of 75 educators from around the country to receive a 2008 Milken Educator Award. Susan received a $25,000 check at the awards gala, which Teacher magazine called “the Oscars of teaching.”

Kathy Cloherty Henry (COM’95) of Roslindale, Mass., recently became the first full-time hiring and pro bono partner at the law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart. Kathy, a partner in the firm’s insurance and reinsurance group, is the cochair of the hiring committee and the leader of Choate’s extensive pro bono program.

Justin Latona (ENG’95) of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., moved back to Florida in September 2007 after 16 years away. “I’ve taken a position as is a systems sales engineer for TriFactor, a material handling systems integrator,” he writes.
