Shanda M. Chiumento (CFA’00) of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, recently designed a practical guide to parking in New York City, Lots NYC: The Definitive Guide to Parking Lots and Garages. Shanda is a cofounder of LOTS Publications, where she handles design and graphics. She also owns Sugar Apple Design, a graphics and clothing company.

Adele Pike (SED’01) of Brookline, Mass., was selected as a national Practice Change Fellow by the Visiting Nurse Association of Boston (VNAB). She will receive $90,000 to participate in the two-year leadership program, where she will focus on developing better practices in geriatric home care. Adele is director of education for the VNAB and an assistant clinical professor in community health nursing at Boston College.

Pilar Prassas (COM’01) of Philadelpha, Pa., directed and produced the documentary In Sickness and in Health. The film follows several same-sex couples’ fight to win marriage rights in New Jersey, as well as the personal struggle of one of the activists with Lou Gehrig’s disease. Kelly earned a medical degree from the University of Miami in May and is beginning a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Sean received a master’s in exercise physiology from the University of Miami and is the director of continuing education for the National Council on Strength and Fitness.
