Daniel S. Kohane (MED’90, GRS’90) of Auburndale, Mass., recently received the CIMIT–Johnson & Johnson Young Clinician Research Award. Daniel is trying to improve the care of infants on breathing tubes. He is on staff at the pediatric intensive care unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, a visiting scientist at the Langer Laboratory in the department of chemical engineering at MIT, and an assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.
Nicole Weekes (CAS’90, CGS’87) of Claremont, Calif., won a 2006 Wig Distinguished Professor Award for Excellence in Teaching for her work as an associate professor of psychology at Pomona College. Wig Award recipients are elected by the junior and senior classes and then confirmed by a committee of trustees, faculty, and students. In 2001, Nicole was named the California Professor of the Year by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Carnegie Foundation.
