John Cooney (CAS'91) of Seattle, Wash., and his wife, Ramie, welcomed Courtney Anne to the family on June 16, 2005. John continues his work at Union Pacific Railroad and moved from Omaha to Seattle in January 2006. "So much for the dream home!" he writes. Henry D. Nguyen (ENG'91) and Lisa Jensen Nguyen (CAS'91, SED'91), of Pacific Grove, Calif., are enjoying their new locale. "It's a definite change from our hurricane-ravaged hometown of Ocean Springs, Miss.," Henry writes. He is enrolled at Naval Postgraduate School for an 18-month systems engineering program on behalf of his company, Northrop Grumman. He and Lisa have two daughters, Haley and Jenna. Lauren Kessler (MET'92) of Winchester, Mass., was named the 2005 Software Engineer of the Year by the American Institute of Aeronautics at a banquet on February 16. Lauren works for Draper Laboratory. She's also a helicopter pilot and belongs to the Civil Air Patrol.

Jacqui Hazard O'Keefe (ENG'92) of San Francisco, Calif., is "happily ensconced" at Macy's in the corporate training and development department after 10 years as a process engineer in the biotech field. Derrick "Dirk" Meyer (GSM'93) of Austin, Tex., is president and chief operating officer of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), the world's second-largest producer of PC microprocessors. Dirk was promoted from microprocessor chief and has worked with AMD since 1995. He won the Association for Computing Machinery Maurice Wilkes Award for his architectural contributions to the Alpha and x86 microprocessor designs.

Audrey Morgenbesser (CAS'93, SED'93,'04) of Washington, D.C., is one of the first scholars to be awarded a two-year fellowship at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), one of the largest behavioral and social science research organizations in the world. The fellowship is awarded to recent doctoral recipients to help them undertake large-scale research projects. Audrey is studying education and human development for the What Works Clearinghouse and researching early childhood education for the Professional Development Impact Study, which provides training for teachers.

Jeremy Mushlin (CAS'93) of Brooklyn, N.Y., released his latest album, Stuntin' (Jump Up Records, 2005) with his group, the Scorchers. He's also been performing and recording with Brooklyn's Hungry March Band. Jeremy is an environmental/engineering consultant and was married in August 2005. Thomas Denenberg (GRS'95,'02) of Portland, Maine, the William E. and Helen E. Thon curator of American Art at the Portland Museum of Art, is the museum's chief curator. Thomas manages the museum's historic buildings and its collection of American and European art and works to enhance its permanent collection and increase the number of visitors.

Corinne Marrinan (CFA'95) of Los Angeles, Calif., received an Academy Award nomination for producing the short documentary A Note of Triumph: The Golden Age of Norman Corwin. Miller (ENG'95) of Sydney, Australia, is working on productions at Animal Logic Studios, which has done the effects for several movies, including the three Matrix films, as well as Cartoon Network spots.
