Jeffrey Barringer (LAW’96) of Farmington, Mich., has been promoted to senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Michelle M. Digilio Hallock (CAS’96) of Warwick, R.I., moved back to the East Coast with her husband, James, after she received her master’s degree in social work. On March 2 they had a baby girl, Elizabeth Michelle, who joined big brother Nicholas. Michelle is currently working as a child clinician.

Steffen K. Kaldor (ENG’96) of Fishkill, N.Y., married Lu Ann Stephanie Schnalbe last February in Westfield, N.J. Siavash Yazdanfar (ENG’96) was the best man. Also attending were Jeffrey Brinker (ENG’96), Julia Carty (COM’98), Jessica Casucci (SMG’96), Mariebeth Unsay Hernandez (SAR’98, CGS’95), Steve Raffaele (CAS’96), Rachel Kittner (COM’96), Diane Papaleonardos (CAS’96), and Lucy Roche (CAS’96). Kathryn Kempton (SED’96) of Melrose, Mass., currently serves on the board of directors of SHARED, a Massachusetts organization seeking to provide access to medicines in Third World Countries.

Tamara Leavitt (SED’96) of Uffington, England, recently became engaged to Robin Jenkin, also of England. They plan to marry in 2006, and will make their home in the States. Tamara is currently working on her writing, while Robin is a professor of optics and imaging science at Cranfield University. She would love to hear from old classmates at missleav@aol.com.

Jacquelyn Pope (GRS’96) of Dedham, Mass., has won the first annual Poetry Prize from Marsh Hawk Press for her manuscript Watermark . The book was selected from 400 submissions; the prize includes a $1,000 award. Jacquelyn is currently a contributing editor for Salamander and Harvard Review. Watermark is her first volume of poetry, and will be published in spring 2005.

Josh Aiello (COM’97) of New York, N.Y., published his second book, 60 People To Avoid at the Water Cooler (Broadway Books). Daniel C. Bai (SAR’97) of New York, N.Y., and his wife, Sheila, announce the birth of Juney Daniel Bai, born September 18, 2003. Michele A. Baptiste (CAS’97, CGS’95) of Freeport, N.Y., is an associate for Bond, Schoeneck and King. She focuses on employment discrimination claims, wage and hour law issues, labor arbitrations, and employer counseling at the law firm’s office in Garden City. Michele previously worked for a law firm in Melville, N.Y., and for the New York City Department of Education’s Office of Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining.

Cynthia De Fusco (MET’97) of Emerald Isle, N.C., passed the Certified M.B.A. exam and was awarded C.M.B.A. designation by the International Certification Institute last summer. Victor Sorrentino (CAS’97) of Fallon, Nev., is a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, and recently returned from a deployment to Iraq as part of Naval Special Warfare Squadron One. Victor also served in the Mediterranean in support of operations in Kosovo and the Straits of Malacca and in the Indian Ocean in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Michael R. Tita (CAS’97) of San Diego, Calif., is a Navy lieutenant. Michael participated in July’s Summer Pulse 2004, the first operational implementation of the Navy Fleet Response Plan, while assigned to the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Ronald Reagan in San Diego.

Jennifer Chianese Rifenburg (CAS’98) of Boston, Mass., wed Timothy Rifenburg in August. Sandra Femino Kimball (CAS’98), Talia Heagler (COM’98), Gina Malloy (COM’98), and Kathy Nirdlinger (CAS’98) were bridesmaids. Others in attendance were Amy Agnew (COM’98), Meleena Bowers (CAS’97), Abby Bergstrom Varisco (CAS’97), and Courtenay Duplex Brown (COM’98, CGS’96). Heather McKay Schraeder (CAS’98) of New Braufels, Tex., and her husband, Chad, announce the birth of their first child, Allen Ross Schraeder, on September 7, 2004. Allen weighed 9 pounds, 12 ounces, was 21 3/4 inches long, and “is a healthy, hungry redhead.”

Tho Tran (ENG’98) of St. Louis, Mo., married Oula Siphanthone in Las Vegas in early 2004. Jim Luu (ENG’98) and Hung Tran (ENG’95) attended. Tho is currently working for Isto Technologies, a biotech firm, while attending St. Louis University School of Law part-time.

Nicole Theresa Vonthron (SMG’98, SHA’98) and Gregory Alexander Fung (CAS’98, CGS’96) of Closter, N.J., became engaged in Hawaii in July. John Clements (SED’99) of Newton, Mass., was recently promoted to assistant principal of Nipmuc Regional High School in Upton, Mass. He has been teaching English there since graduating from BU.

Dennis Conroy (CFA’99) of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Johanna Burke were married in a ceremony near Santa Fe, N.M., in July. Classmates Stephen Chapdelaine (CFA’98) and Brian Casper (CFA’99) attended the ceremony. Dennis was recently promoted to general manager of the American Symphony Orchestra. James Housefield (GRS’99) of Sunset Valley, Tex., was named adjunct curator of the Austin Museum of Art in Austin, Tex. He will work on special projects at the museum while he continues his research and teaching at Texas State University, San Marcos. James teaches the history of modern and contemporary art, has traveled extensively through France and Morocco conducting research, and is the arts editor for the International Review of Modernism.

Nicole Kimmins (COM’99) of Santa Monica, Calif., was recently promoted to manager of network research at Warner Bros. Television. She formerly worked as a senior research analyst for corporate media research for Warner Bros. Entertainment Group, where she started in July 2001.

David Kociemba (COM’99) of Jamaica Plain, Mass., writes that he is teaching at Emerson College and just finished “another wonderful summer teaching at MassArt.” David is currently awaiting his temporary license to become a high school teacher in English and history. Keith A. Roberts (LAW’99) of South Burlington, Vt., has returned to his home state and joined the law firm of Eggleston and Cramer, Ltd., in Burlington. From his previous positions in Boston, Keith brings corporate law, bankruptcy law, and commercial transaction expertise to the firm. He looks forward to hiking and long-distance running in Vermont, where he ran the Burlington Marathon in 2002.

Celia Brady Schea (CAS’99) of Elkton, Md., married Jeremy Schea in August in Newark, Del.
