Why I Gave

The Class Gift is a collection of individual gifts from members of the graduating class. Share your reasons for giving and read why others like you contributed to the Class Gift.

Tommy Barth CFA’11

Giving back to Boston University is the best way I can show my appreciation for such an amazing school and welcoming community. This place isn’t just my alma mater, it’s my home.

Emily Cania, CFA’11

I gave to BU because I believe that philanthropy is possible and valued and at any age and stage of life. Institutions of higher education are a cornerstone of our society, and I’m proud to be a part of BU.

I directed my gift to the Friends of Music Fund because CFA has been a constant for me for four years. My musical education has enriched me in so many ways, and I want the CFA legacy to live on for young musicians to come!

Chris Kramer, CAS’11

I gave because of the amazing experiences, lasting friendships, new ideas and new worlds that this place has opened up for me. I gave because I love this place, and because I want to ensure that other students can enjoy their time here as I continue to enjoy my time at BU.

Taylor Riley SMG/SHA’11

I gave to the senior class gift because for the last 4 years BU has given me the opportunity to do anything and everything that I have wanted. I was able to travel to Montreal with some of SMG’s finest, attend leadership conferences, land my dream job for after graduation, and meet the best friends in the world.

With hundreds of organizations to pick from I was thrilled to find so many I could join and meet such great fellow leaders in. I’ll carry my scarlet and white pride with me the rest of my life… even on a T filled with maroon and yellow from that other school that shares OUR T line.
