Marshall Hook, president of the COM Alumni Board, leads a lively discussion about ways to (and ways not to) impress future employers.
Panelists speak of their own career experiences-- from entry level positions to leading roles—to teach students how they can also succeed in these competitive fields.
Chris Cavalieri, Assistant Professor of Television in COM, gives some final words of advice to the outgoing class of 2008.
Students share a laugh with the panelists, as the professionals stress the importance of always smiling and presenting yourself well.
Members of the class of 2008 learned interviewing tips that transcend every discipline and others specific to their communications industry.
Students learn that eye contact, confidence and a firm hand shake are just as important as a stellar resume.
Mark Nardi gives advice on how to land a job based on his own successful career.
After the discussion, the panelists and students engaged in networking techniques.
Marshall Hook gives some one-on-one advice to a graduating senior.
During the break out sessions, students got answers to more in-depth questions.
The Panelists gave time during each session to make sure everyone’s questions were answered.
