Alumni Census & Directory Project
Be You. Be Counted.
The Boston University Alumni Association is working with PCI, (Publishing Concepts, Inc.) to complete an all-alumni census and produce our new alumni directory. The last BU alumni directory, Alumni Today 2012, was published in 2012.
BU commits to all 335,000 living alumni to provide meaningful, lifelong connections, both personally and professionally, between alumni and with the university. These connections come through in-person events, career mentoring, online and social channels, dynamic alumni networks, and of course print and online alumni directories.
We hope you will consider being part of BU history and be counted in the 2019 alumni census and directory.

Frequently Asked Questions By Alumni
I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information. They said they were working on a directory for Boston University. Is this a legitimate project, or is it a scam?
BU has partnered with Publishing Concepts (PCI), a research company located in Dallas, TX and Virginia Beach, VA which also publishes directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation.
This project allows Boston University to receive important updates about alumni to ensure that we have accurate information, and also helps us prioritize investments in alumni programs, communications, and benefits so we can better serve you and future alumni.
To participate, please call PCI at 1-866-613-1383 and indicate your Personal ID# on you postcard or email (note: this is NOT your University ID number).
How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?
Boston University has a contractual agreement with PCI that states:
The names, addresses and information provided to PCI by Boston University for the publication of the Directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Directory and except as required by court order or law.
The Directory will be made available only to alumni of Boston University. Upon completion of the project, PCI will return to Boston University any and all electronic files that have been supplied to Boston University or produced by PCI in connection with the production of the Directory.
I would like to verify and update my information. How may I do this?
If you have received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number (1-866-613-1383) to speak with a dedicated representative for the Boston University project. The representative will verify all the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed.
If you have received an email with an embedded link, you may go to the online site to review your information. If you have questions or concerns, you may call PCI’s customer service desk at 1.800.982.1590.
Can anyone purchase a directory?
Boston University Directory Publication is available for sale only to Boston University alumni.
Can I choose some or all of my information not to be printed in the directory?

I am unable to call the number to speak with a representative, but would still like to participate. Can I verify/update my information online?
