Did You Know?
Playwright Eugene O’Neill died at the Sheridan Hotel, which is now Shelton Hall on Bay State Road, in 1953. O’Neill, winner of the Nobel and Pulitzer prizes, had lived for years on the hotel’s fourth floor, and died in room 410. Some Shelton residents claim to have seen his ghost walking the floor’s halls, referred to as the Writers’ Corridor.
