BOSTON - Once again, the Beanpot trophy will make its home at Boston University. Just under a minute after Boston College made it a 2-2 contest early in the third period, BU notched the game winner on a power-play goal from tournament MVP Pete MacArthur (Clifton Park, N.Y.) en route to a 3-2 triumph over the fourth-ranked Eagles on Feb. 13 at TD Banknorth Garden.

With their 27th Beanpot title, the Terriers have now claimed half of the tournament's 54 championships.

MacArthur, who assisted on BU's first goal of the night, batted in an elevated rebound right in front of the BC goal following a shot by classmate Bryan Ewing (Plymouth, Mass.) with 12:42 left in regulation. Junior Sean Sullivan (Braintree, Mass.) also assisted on the goal, which was the Terriers' only power-play strike on five tries.

The tally broke a 2-2 tie and the BU defense did the rest, helping the fifth-ranked Terriers win their 11th consecutive contest, their longest such streak in a single season since reeling off 12 straight wins during the 1993-94 campaign.
