Peter Paul (GSM'71) Gives $1.5 Million
In an effort to help young faculty further their careers, entrepreneur Peter Paul (GSM'71) has pledged $1.5 million to the institution that furthered his own. Paul will give the University the funds over the next five years to establish ten career development professorships. Read More

Their research has taken them around the world, as they explored the political past, the cultural present, and the climatic future. For the work they have completed and the work that remains, four BU faculty members have been selected as 2006 Guggenheim Fellows. Read More
Joining Good Company
Two decades into his journey as an American writer, Xuefei Jin (GRS'94) - the College of Arts and Sciences professor of creative writing better known by his pen name, Ha Jin - has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Read More
Rhett Gets a New Look
Rhett, the Boston University mascot, has had a makeover. Over the past year, as part of an Athletics Department rebranding program, the Boston terrier's ears have been docked and, like other aging icons, his hair - make that fur - has gone from gray to predominantly black. Read More
