Colin Wilson (CAS’11) scored the game-winning goal.

Paced by a three-point effort from Colin Wilson (CAS’11), the Boston University men’s ice hockey team rallied for a 5-4 come-from-behind victory over Northeastern in the Beanpot consolation game on February 11 at TD Banknorth Garden. Later that night, Boston College beat Harvard 6-5 to win the trophy.

Wilson broke a 4-4 tie with three minutes, nineteen seconds left in regulation by potting his second goal of the night. The tally capped a string of three straight goals by the Terriers, who trailed 4-2 midway through the game.

Colby Cohen (CAS’11) notched a goal and an assist and Matt Gilroy (CAS’09) blasted in the game-tying goal at 9:18 of the third. Luke Popko (SMG’10) earned a pair of assists.

Goaltender Adam Kraus (CAS’11) made twenty-five saves for the Terriers — stopping the last thirteen shots he faced — to earn his first collegiate win.

The men’s hockey team missed the championship game of the Beanpot for the first time since 1994 after losing to the BC Eagles 4-3 in overtime at the TD Banknorth Garden on February 4.
