“This is historically accurate; this is really more of a biopic than a sports movie,” actor Will Ferrell deadpans about his latest comedy, Semi-Pro, in a recent interview with butv10 correspondent Rob Turbovsky (COM’08).

In the wide-ranging interview, Ferrell also discusses his current college comedy tour, his alleged “brief death” in a paragliding accident, and his impression of President George W. Bush on Saturday Night Live and whether it may (or may not) have helped Bush win the last election.

“Interviewing Will Ferrell was fantastic,” says Turbovsky. “We are able not only to take advantage of these kinds of rare opportunities for conversations with artists and entertainers, but also to present fun, substantive material for the public.” Turbovsky’s review of Semi-Pro is also on the BUTV10 Web site.

A student-produced television channel, BUTV10 recently celebrated its two-year anniversary. It has 250 students working on 10 permanent student-produced series, and it reaches nearly 30,000 viewers on the Boston University campus.
