The Boston University men’s ice hockey team has been around for ninety years, and more than a few home-ice icons have emerged over the decades: Rhett the Terrier, Coach Jack Parker (SMG'68, Hon.'97), and Sasquatch are just a few. This season, the next generation of superfans came into their own, and they're aiming to establish a long-term presence at Agganis Arena. Meet Jesus and the Hot Dog.

The men behind the costumes, Brian Fadem (COM’10), aka the Hot Dog, and Ross Lichtenberg (SAR’10), aka Jesus, hope to make their mark on Terrier sports with energy, creativity, and true sports zealotry. They’re regulars at men’s hockey, men’s and women’s basketball, and women’s lacrosse games and rarely miss a match, often putting in twelve or more hours of game time a week. “They’re definitely our lucky charms,” says women’s basketball point guard Christine Kinneary (CAS’09).
