Become A Volunteer
The primary responsibility of a BU Annual Fund Volunteer is to approach and encourage classmates to reconnect with their school/college.
If you would like to get involved or receive more information on becoming an Annual Fund Volunteer, please e-mail afv@bu.edu or call 617-353-2733.
- Create an informal network of alumni who live in different parts of the country and around the world to help with recruiting attendees and planning events
- Establish an e-mail forwarding list for your classmates to reconnect with one another, to give feedback on Reunion activity planning, and to receive info from BU
- Ask classmates to support their school/college Annual Fund during the University's fiscal year (July 1–June 30)
- Send notes or e-mails to encourage classmates to participate in school/college events
- Contact prospects one month after an appeal is sent to secure support of the Annual Fund
- Thank classmates for supporting the Annual Fund as they make their commitment during the year
- Participate in and find volunteers for a Reunion Committee in preparation for Reunions
- Make a commitment and donate to the Annual Fund during the University's fiscal year (July 1–June 30)
