Arena Honors BU Sports Legend
The ambitious Student Village project continues to move forward,
creating a new center for campus life. The centerpiece will

Donna Weiss says she was ecstatic when she learned of plans
for a new BU hockey arena. In memory of her late husband, former
Terrier goaltender Saul Weiss (CAS'71), she donated $250,000
to the Student Village project. |

A Place
to Get Together
The need for a vibrant central gathering ground for students
on the Charles River Campus is one reason why trustee Sharon
Ryan (SAR'70) and her husband, Robert Ryan, donated $500,000
to the Student Village project. |

Game Winner
Chris Drury (CAS'98) recently gave $100,000 to the Student Village
project. A member of the 2001 Stanley Cup Championship team,
he is the most honored player in the eighty-year history of
BU hockey. |

Buildings
and Community
Tim White was twenty-nine years old when his recently launched
general contracting outfit landed its first BU job in 1991:
renovations on a Cummington Street building. Eleven years and
several major BU contracts later, T.R. White Construction employs
eighty-five and recently donated $500,000 to the University's
Student Village project. |
